A DRUNKEN partygoer has been found guilty of wounding a man who asked him to leave a birthday party in York.
A single punch from Ryan McGhee left Jonathan Simmonite with a deep, three-inch wound to the face which required stitches in hospital.
The assault happened in the driveway of a property in Cranbrook Road, Acomb , but McGhee, 31, of Mire Syke Lane, Scotton, Knaresborough, denied unlawful wounding, and claimed his actions were in self defence.
Yesterday, a jury found McGhee guilty of wounding, and he will be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on October 31.
