Police hunt spectacle frames thief

POLICE are investigating the theft of spectacle frames from an opticians in York.

A man took a pair of frames from Optical Express in Parliament Street, then left them at Vision Express, where a second pair valued at £170 was taken.

He is described as white, tanned, in his late 40s, of large build and about six feet tall, and was seen on CCTV in Coney Street shortly after the incident, which happened between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Sunday, July 15.
