Cigarettes theft witnesses plea

TWO men have been arrested after 30 cartons of cigarettes were stolen from a delivery van in York.
The van was parked in Crichton Avenue, Clifton , as the driver made a delivery to McColls Newsagents at about 11am on Friday, August 31.
Two men, both aged 28, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
They have been released on police bail as inquiries continue. At the time of the incident, a light-coloured vehicle was seen behind the delivery van.
It is believed that the occupants of this vehicle may have information to assist the investigation and police are urging them to come forward.
