Boy, 15, is killed in East Yorkshire crash
8:36am Saturday 8th September 2012 in News
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was killed in an East Yorkshire crash.
The teenager, who was from Gilberdyke, was cycling with a friend on the B1230 Hull Road at Eastrington, near Goole, at about 8.50pm on Thursday when he was hit by a dark grey Audi A4 on the eastbound carriageway, near the Rose and Crown pub.
The teenager, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at hospital.
The second boy, also 15, suffered fractures and bruises and remains in Hull Royal Infirmary. His injuries are described as not life-threatening. The Audi driver was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody.
Police want to speak to anyone who drove along the B1230 between Howden and Gilberdyke between approximately 8pm and 9pm and who remembers seeing either the cyclists or the Audi.
