Renewed call to trace stolen dachshunds

POLICE have renewed their appeal for help in locating two stolen dachshunds.

Queenie, aged six, who needs daily medication for a severe slipped disc, and Roxie, aged two, both have smooth black and tan fur. They are family pets who were stolen from a house between Plompton Woods and Spofforth, off the A661, between 11.45am and 2.10pm on Tuesday, August 21.

Their owners fear that without her medicine, Queenie’s back legs could collapse. Police want to speak to anyone on the A661 Harrogate to Wetherby road who may have seen the dogs taken across the road in a black cage-style basket.

Anyone who can help to reunite the dachshunds with their owners is asked to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101and ask for Cheryl Power. Alternatively information can be emailed to cheryl.power@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk , or by phoning Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
