TWO motorcyclists suffered serious injuries in a collision with a lorry on the outskirts of York.
The accident happened at about 11.55am yesterday, on the A1237 ring road near the Hopgrove Roundabout.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said a 55-year-old man and a female passenger, aged 49, were on the bike. He said the woman, who was riding pillion, suffered a broken collarbone and broken ribs, and was taken to York Hospital .
Both suffered bruising and the man also suffered suspected broken ribs. The spokesman said they were kept in hospital overnight.
Police partially closed the road, and investigators were at the scene until about 1.35pm, but traffic remained slow after the road reopened.
