Crash between scooter and car kills man, 81

AN 81-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a crash between a car and a motability scooter in North Yorkshire tonight.
The collision happened as the scooter was heading along Sussex Street in Bedale, towards the main road through the town, at about 6.20pm.
The crash involved a silver Ford Ka and police are currently at the scene, having closed the stretch of road where it happened as an investigation into the man's death begins. No further details about the collision have yet been confirmed.
