Man rescued from River Ouse

A MAN was rescued from the River Ouse in York city centre, after reportedly tripping and falling in.

The incident happened at King’s Staith, near the King’s Arms pub, at about 6.45pm on Tuesday, just two hours after another man had been pulled from the water near Lendal Bridge.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they took the man to hospital.
