A19 crash victim named as Carly Smith, 15, from Selby

THE teenager killed in a crash on the A19 has been named by North Yorkshire Police.
Carly Smith, who was 15 and from Selby , died in a crash close to Chapel Haddlesey and Burn at about 8.15pm on Sunday.
An inquest was opened and adjourned into her death yesterday.
The 30-year-old man who was seriously injured as a result of the collision remains in Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield in a critical condition.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Martin Hayes.
