Mystery Plays actors visit York Chocolate Story

THAT the devil? York’s Chocolate Story has won the approval of not only Satan but also God and Jesus – or at least the actors playing them in the York Mystery Plays .
Former Coronation Street actor Graeme Hawley, who plays the Devil, and Ferdinand Kingsley, who plays both Christ and God, were invited along to the tourist attraction in Kings Square to see if they could be tempted by some rather tasty chocolate.
Marketing manager Beckie Senior said they both succumbed after being presented with white and dark chocolate bars, which had “heaven-sent appeal”.
She said they planned to return to have a good look round during the Plays’ lengthy run in the Museum Gardens.
