Motorcyclist killed in East Yorkshire crash named as Philip Cleary

A MOTORCYCLIST who was killed after he was involved in a crash with two cars in East Yorkshire has been named.

Humberside Police said Philip John Cleary, 34, of Rosewoods, Howden, died shortly before 7pm on Monday.

He was riding a blue Honda motorbike and was travelling along the A614 from Howden in the direction of Middleton on the Wolds, when it is believed he lost control of the motorcycle. This resulted in a collision with a silver Toyota Rav, which was travelling in the opposite direction. The motorcycle then collided with a blue Ford Focus, also travelling in the opposite direction.

Mr Cleary died at the scene. The occupants travelling in the other vehicles were not injured.

The road was closed at Londesborough roundabout and re-opened at 11.50pm.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101.
