ONE of the most popular children’s authors in the world spent the day at a York school.
Dame Jacqueline Wilson, the bestselling author of the Tracy Beaker stories, spent yesterday at Woodthorpe Primary School after one of its pupils won a competition.
Amelie Mackay, eight, took the prize after being judged to have written the best story in a competition run in The Official Jacqueline Wilson Magazine.
