Man hit by York-Scarborough train

A MAN was killed when he was struck by a York to Scarborough train this afternoon.
A spokesman for First TransPennine Express said the incident happened at about 3.30pm just outside Scarborough station.
He said trains between Scarborough and Malton were temporarily halted, but services resumed by 4.20 pm.
The incident is being investigated by British Transport Police.
