Fire hits empty pub
AN investigation is being launched this morning after fire tore through an empty pub in Selby.
The fire at the Friendship Inn in Millgate, Selby, began at about 5.25pm on Thursday and was tackled by three crews.
A fire investigation officer has been sent to the pub today to try to ascertain the cause.
The Friendship Inn was sold last year and developers want to build houses on the site, although local campaigners have opposed the move.
