A NEW scheme to help young people into employment will be launched today at Elvington Air Museum.

The Give Me A Chance Challenge, which helps students with communication, confidence and jobs skills, will be launched at the Battle Group North event at the museum, formerly the Wheels And Wings Event, a display of historic military vehicles. On display will be three paintings by Northallerton artist David Marshall, featuring a Valiant bomber, with prints available for sale, which will help out the scheme.

Ian Cross, who runs the scheme, said: “The Give Me A Chance Challenge will give graduates and school leavers a chance to earn that all-important first job and will be launched from York with assistance from the city’s graduates and students.
