Woman airlifted to hospital after crash in Easingwold

A 73-YEAR-OLD woman was airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle crash near York.
Two fire crews, police and ambulance were called to the incident involving a blue Toyota Aygo and a white Vauxhall van which happened on Green Lane, in Easingwold, at about 1.40pm yesterday (FRI).
The female driver of the Toyota, a woman aged 73, was released from her car by fire crews from Acomb and Easingwold and she was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with suspected bank and ankle injuries.
Her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Vauxhall was uninjured in the incident, which shut the road for more than two-and-a-half hours.
Any witnesses to the incident should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101.
