Britain’s Got Talent finalists in York

FINALISTS from Britain’s Got Talent are to perform at York Racecourse to celebrate the Olympic Torch entering the city.

Dance act Twist & Pulse will perform at the racecourse on June 19 along with Katy B, the singer-songwriter and Mercury Prize nominee, local African drumming groups Umbu and Calabash and the University of York’s gospel choir, Zamar.

The event is free and unticketed, and starts at 11am with Sporting Giants Games at Bustardthorpe.

Events at the racecourse start at 2pm with sports demonstrations and interactive stands offering tasters of various activities, while the staged shows run from 5pm.
