York councillors in cabinet reshuffle
9:14am Tuesday 15th May 2012 in News
LEADING councillors in York have been reshuffled and given new job titles.
Westfield councillor Dafydd Williams will become City of York Council’s cabinet member for crime and stronger communities, with Coun Sandy Fraser – who has held the crime remit since Labour won control of the authority last year – switching to the role of cabinet member for environmental services, including street cleaning, waste issues and parking.
A newly titled post of cabinet member for leisure, culture and tourism will be held by Coun Sonja Crisp, while Coun Dave Merrett’s cabinet position will change from city strategy to transport, planning and sustainability. The changes came into force yesterday. Council leader James Alexander said: “I’m sure we have a strong team to deliver on the commitments we’ve made in our second year in administration.”

Do you mean a bad hand of cards? A pack will always have the same cards however shuffled.
