New centres for musical education

NEW music education hubs in York and North Yorkshire are set to play a key role in ensuring every child has the opportunity to experience a high-quality education in music.

Arts Council England says 122 new hubs across the country will see a significant shift in the way music education is delivered in and out of school.

Organisations including schools, professional music organisations, higher and further education institutions and other Arts Council funded organisations will be coming together to create joined-up music education provision for children and young people.

The aim is to ensure every child aged five to 18 has the opportunity to sing and learn a musical instrument, progress to the next level and play with other children as part of an ensemble or choir.

Typical Press cut and paste job from I guess an Arts Council press release. Are there any journalists able or willing to find out something more relevant to York children?
