Poverty on agenda for clergy forum

A KENYAN bishop joined the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, Dr Sentamu’s wife, Margaret, the Bishop of Durham, the Rt Rev Justin Welby, and a group of 50 people to discuss ways of helping the poorest in England and abroad.

The Rt Rev Moses Masamba, of the Mbeere Diocese in Kenya, Lucy Masama Nthuka and the Rev Malcom Macnaughton, chief of staff for the Archbishop, spoke about links with Kenya.

The Archbishop said: “I’m delighted to host this event with the Anglican Alliance as we look at how our partnership links in the Anglican Communion bring positive changes to our own communities and across the Communion. It is important that we continue the work taking place to tackle poverty in this country and around the world.”
