More York streets could get 20mph limit (From York Press)

• "People should be driving at 30mph or under because that is the law. Ditto if it were 20mph.
  I follow the law for two reasons - one because if I ran over a child at 40mph I'd feel the guilt for the rest of my life and secondly its patently safer and the responsible thing to do.
  Not everyone speeds, some obey the law. In addition, some think its okay to go a little over the limit but not double it! Hence - lower the maximum permitted and you lower speed."
