A MOTHER-OF-TWO left critically ill after setting herself on fire when pouring petrol from a jerry can in her kitchen is said to be making “satisfactory progress”.
Diane Hill, 46, was pouring petrol into a glass jug at her home in Moorgate, Acomb, York, in March, when vapours caught alight.
She suffered 40 per cent burns in the incident.
For the past five weeks Mrs Hill has been receiving treatment at the specialist burns unit at Pinderfields Hospital, in Wakefield, with her daughters Grace, 18, and Lauren, 23, and husband Mark at her bedside.
A hospital spokesman said Mrs Hill “continues to make satisfactory progress”.
