PLANS to turn the former Ponden Mill shop on Church Street, York into a Yo! Sushi restaurant have been approved by City of York Council.
Pegasus Planning Group applied for the change of use from retail to restaurant use on the restaurant’s behalf, saying there was a high proportion of vacant units in the vicinity, and that the restaurant would fit in well among the neighbouring retailers.
Yo! Sushi, which prepares food in a kitchen in plain view of customers and then sends it out on a conveyor belt, declined to comment on the plans at this stage.
