MILLIONS of viewers watched a York-born performer try to impress talent show judges, when Twinnie-Lee Moore appeared on new BBC show The Voice.
The 25-year-old performer, who has appeared in West End shows including We Will Rock You and Desperately Seeking Susan, sang Miley Cyrus’ The Climb to the judges, including Sir Tom Jones and Jessie J, but failed to make it through to the next round.
However, her boyfriend Max Milner also performed and was selected to continue in the programme, under the tutelage of Danny O’Donoghue from The Script.
Twinnie-Lee, who now lives in London, said: “It was a great process, but out of all the shows I’ve done, it was the most nerve wracking.
“I got to meet all the judges, and Danny was very nice and apologetic.
“I’ll be going to see Max as he progresses, because I’m his biggest fan.”
Twinnie-Lee continues to appear in Rock of Ages in the West End.
