York road closes after ‘crash’

PART of York city centre was temporarily closed on Saturday night after a 34-year-old man was in an accident with a taxi and was feared to have been badly hurt.
Emergency services were called to the Stonebow and Piccadilly area after the collision at about 8.30pm.
The man was initially thought to have been seriously injured but it then became apparent that he was very drunk.
