Still time to get Mum’s name on our shortlist

THE PRESS has launched a Super Mum competition in the search for inspiring women who deserve a special treat.

We have teamed up with The National Trust’s Middlethorpe Hall & Spa to offer a fabulous prize of a stay for two at the historical hotel as a perfect reward for the winner (conditions apply).

Nominations have been arriving at The Press office, but there is still time for other proud husbands, children, relatives and friends of deserving mums to put their names forward - just in time for Mother’s Day.

The prize includes a chilled bottle of house Champagne to welcome the guests, with a three-course candlelit dinner for two in the award-winning restaurant followed by an overnight stay in a superior double room located in the 18th century courtyard.

The next day will bring early morning tea, delivered to the room, a full Yorkshire breakfast and a 55-minute Decléor treatment in the Spa for both, and use of the Spa facilities.

Entry rules are simple – if you can buy a copy of The Press where you live, you’re eligible to enter.

Nominations highlighting what makes your nominee so special should be no longer than 200 words and include a good quality head and shoulders photograph of the nominee. Please include a contact telephone number.

Send nominations to Super Mum Award, c/o Nadia Jefferson-Brown, The Press, 76-86 Walmgate, York, YO1 9YN, or email nadia.jeffersonbrown@thepress.co.uk with the photograph as a jpeg attachment.

The deadline is Saturday, February 25.

A shortlist of finalists will be announced in The Press on March 5. We will then invite readers to decide who should win.
