FIVE centres are being set up to allow residents to get housing and benefits advice in a York community when a council office closes later this month.
City of York Council’s current Acomb office shuts on February 28, but the services provided there will be offered in new sessions at other locations.
They will run between 9am and 3pm on Mondays at the Gateway Centre in Front Street, Acomb, between 9am and noon on Wednesdays at Foxwood Community Centre, between the same times on Thursdays at Sanderson Court Community House in Bramham Road, between 9am and 1pm on Fridays at the Acomb Explore Library Learning Centre and between 1pm and 4pm on Fridays, for housing advice only, at the Moor Lane Youth Centre in Wains Road.
