A64 to close for roadworks

PART of the A64 on the edge of York will be closed next week because of roadworks.

The work will mean the eastbound carriageway of the route between the Grimston Bar and Fulford interchanges will be shut between 8pm and 6am from Tuesday until February 22, as well as the eastbound entry slip road at Grimston Bar and the eastbound exit slip road at Fulford.

Diversions will be put in place.

This doesn't make sense to me ; if the eastbound carriageway is to be shut then surely the eastbound entry slip road at Fulford needs to be shut as closing the eastbound exit slip road will leave nowhere for traffic to exit from the closed section. The same is true for Grimston bar. Did they mean westbound carriageway ?

I read this a few weeks ago on the Highways Agency website... it is actually the eastbound slip from the Fulford interchange to be closed and NOT the eastbound one at Grimston Bar (as closing that wouldn't make sense)
