Oh baby, your smile takes the cake

SIX-MONTH-OLD Ruby-May Hatfield, from York, enjoys a cupcake while older girls take part in a photo shoot at a city café.

Pageant queens from across North Yorkshire came to Sooty’s Cupcakery in Castlegate to get involved in a day of pampering and modelling.

Amy Grant, who runs her own company, Wishes Granted, set up the event to showcase the talents and portfolios of pageant queens in the area.

Amy said: “All the girls are under 16 and some of them weren’t really confident modelling. So we invited the girls along to the Cupcakery to help them build their confidence and their portfolios in an informal environment.”

The girls had their hair and make-up done professionally and were then given the cupcakes to have fun with in the photo shoot.
