YORK Theatre Royal is staging another Dance-A-Thon next month hoping for a repeat of the success of last year’s event.
This time it will be held on Saturday, March 10, in the ballroom of the De Grey Rooms, in St Leonard’s Place.
“Everyone can join in,” said a theatre spokesman who also promised a “fun-filled day full of community spirit”.
The day will offer people the chance to participate in a number of different dances, including 1970s classic disco, 1940s glamorous ballroom and 1990s street and hip hop.
There will be a chance to dress up in clothes typical of the eras and the dancers will also be given professional instruction.
To take part there is a £5 registration fee and participants are also encouraged to be sponsored by a charity of their choice.
