THE Football Association is expected to decide next week whether it will bring any charges over a row which broke out at the end of a children’s football match in York.
An investigation was launched by police and the FA after an adult allegedly headbutted a 15-year-old boy and an adult allegedly punched another adult at the end of a match between Wigginton Grasshoppers U15 and Tockwith Juniors U15 at Mill Lane in Wigginton on Sunday.
Tom Radigan, chief executive at North Riding County Football Association, said each side had until early next week to submit a report of events and then a decision about whether disciplinary charges would be raised or not would be likely to be announced on Thursday.
The clubs will then have the chance to respond to the FA. No arrests have been made.
