FRIENDS of a schoolboy who hopes to go on a trip to Borneo are holding a dance show to help him raise funds.
Rachel Smith and Amy McMahon, both 17, have worked with a group of youngsters aged 18 months to 17-years-old, to stage a show at New Earswick Folk Hall on Thursday evening.
The money raised will help Joseph Rowntree School pupil, Patrick Wilson, 15, raise money for the trip with Camp International Rachel said: “I think people should come along to support young people. Youths do have a negative reputation, but we want to show that not everyone is like that and to support Patrick.”
Tickets to the show, which starts at 7.30pm, will be sold on the door and cost £6 for adults, £4 for children and £4.50 for pensioners.
