A YORK man has been arrested following a reported road rage incident on the A19.
The alleged altercation involved a 56-year-old man from Thirsk who was driving a light blue Citroen Picasso and a 31-year-old man from York, who was driving a white BMW.
The 56-year-old sustained a cut above his right eye in the incident, which happened at the top of the bank in Thormanby between 6pm and 6.30pm last Thursday.
The 31-year-old was arrested and released on police bail.
PC Peter Henderson, of Thirsk Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information. I would also like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the incident.”
