ONE of Yorkshire’s largest digital agencies, Harrogate-based 9xb, has launched a new digital marketing division, following high-profile business wins and rapid growth.

The division, headed up by account director Gyles Seward, will employ a full-service approach to digital marketing, providing search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click advertising, email and social media marketing to existing and new clients.

The launch comes off the back of a number of high-profile client wins, including Electrical Discount UK, the online electrical retailer, and Made4Fighters, the supplier of mixed martial arts clothing in Europe.

It has led to a doubling of monthly digital marketing turnover to a projected £600,000 by the end of the year. On the back of that the decision was taken to invest in a complete in-house department. Six new jobs have been created for the purpose, bringing total staff numbers to 30.

Mr Seward said: “The core focus of our business has traditionally been website development and strategy, but over recent years the market has become increasingly saturated.

“Our digital marketing turnover has doubled since the turn of the year and we’ve enjoyed a 36 per cent monthly growth rate, so we’re now ready to make a serious investment in this area of the business.

We’re excited to build on the success we’ve enjoyed with high-profile brands like Marks & Spencer and Hi-Tec and push a broader range of services, such as search engine optimisation and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising plus social media marketing, and we’re really looking forward to delivering some tangible business results for our clients.”
