RUGBY aces from Easingwold School have scored a perfect ten.

The school’s Year 9 rugby union team are celebrating after winning the Yorkshire Emerging Schools 10s Champions at Pontefract.

Unbeaten Easingwold conceded only two tries after facing teams from across the county in the competition.

A school spokesman said: “All 13 boys in the squad played their part in the great performance, showing fantastic team work.

“The previous week the same team had played at Wensleydale and went unbeaten to become area sevens champions.”

The squad, pictured above, included Cameron Atkinson, Callum Simpson, Tom Bullough, Tom Somers, Chris Cambridge, Martin Sowerby, James Todd, Alex Cooper, Ben Gibson, Simon Morley, Elliott Shipley, Harry Hayes and Dom Woodcock.

The Easingwold youngsters qualified for the tournament after coming through the North Yorkshire Emerging Schools 10s tournament unbeaten.
