RESIDENTS across York are being invited to the city’s Britain in Bloom launch event this weekend.
City of York Council is working with The Friends of Hob Moor to celebrate the event on Sunday when people of all ages are being asked to help plant hedgerows on Hob Moor between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Council rangers and York Tree Wardens will be helping to plant the hedgerows, and all tools will be provided.
This year has seen 13 York entries in Yorkshire in Bloom, ahead of York and Dunnington competing in the national Britain in Bloom.
