KitKats and Aero sales boom as Nestlé Confectionery outperforms the market

SALES of top chocolates made in York are booming as Nestlé continues to outperform its UK rivals.

The company today announced its 2010 results and said it had been a ‘good performance’ in a challenging economic climate.

It said KitKat sales rose by 3 per cent last year, Aero increased by eight per cent and Milky Bar by 14 per cent.

It said Nestlé Confectionery had outperformed the market, growing share for the third consecutive year and making it the fastest growing of the big three UK confectionery companies.

i agree with slasher tez,any one can stack them high and sell them cheap but at what cost.............the
y are almost giving these goodies away in the big supermarkets these days and as the manufacturer purchase their production materials a long time in advance the profit margins will level out at some point in the future.false economy i think is the word.
Add to that the fact that they now produce a lot of stuff in a seperate factory within the York grounds where wages are rubbish compared to the other staff at the older factory on the same site........they are reaping what they sow....ie.pay peanuts get chimps...and take advantage...........
.lol......its good to know they can produce choccie bars at prices that the low paid and unemployed can still afford to buy....question is,how long for.?

Why can't we buy multipack Yorkies in Tesco? By far the nicest Nestle chocolate, so where is it?
