A WARD at Selby War Memorial Hospital which was closed after an outbreak of a vomiting bug has now reopened.
The ward was closed to new visitors from January 24, after an outbreak of the norovirus, also known as the winter vomiting bug, affected 11 patients.
On Friday, a spokesman for NHS North Yorkshire and York said the inpatients’ ward had been closed.
Deep cleaning was taking place, and visitors had not been prevented from visiting, but had been given advice on how to prevent the bug spreading.
The spokesman confirmed yesterday, that the inpatient ward had now fully reopened and there were no restrictions on visitors.
