THE money launderer who gave evidence against Elvington drug gangster and murderer Bao Lung Huang is today a free man.

In September, Zhong Xiang Wang, 41, told a Leeds jury how Huang forced him to sign the lease for the warehouse on the Elvington Industrial Estate which the gang turned into a massive cannabis factory capable of turning out illegal crops worth between £200,000 and £400,000.

Inside, probably on January 16, 2009, Huang and fellow gangster Zhouli Zhang murdered their accomplice Cai Guan Chen, 38, and dumped his body in a canal at Burn, near Selby.

Huang, 44, of Fujian and Zhang, 50, of Scarfe Avenue, Doncaster, are now serving life sentences for murder.

They were also jailed for cannabis production in Elvington and elsewhere in the UK.

Wang, of Lea Bridge Road, London, admitted money laundering and was given a ten-month prison sentence, suspended for two years on condition he does 200 hours’ unpaid work.

He sent money raised by the gangs’ nationwide cannabis operation to China.

All four men are Chinese nationals.
