OVER the past week, we have seen horrific pictures and events from the Middle East of people suffering a war which is not their fault and having to suffer the evils of war.
I was very fortunate to hear stories from my grandparents during the Second World War when I was a child and was horrified at what they had to go through during the Blitz.
I feel I am seeing what my grandparents saw everyday during the Blitz on the news today.
At this current time where it feels the world is turning into a political mess, I am grateful to live in a peaceful city such as York and hope the next generation will never see what we have seen in the past few years.
I am praying every day for those people caught up in wars in the Middle East and for a more peaceful world.
