YOUNGSTERS at a York primary school have received a delivery of exotic fruits for their Harvest Festival.
Passion fruit, dragon fruit and papayas were just some of the unusual fruits given to pupils at Tang Hall Primary School as a reward for collecting the most Morrisons Let’s Grow vouchers in York.
The school has used the vouchers to buy four water butts to collect rainwater to water their plants.
Class teacher Fiona McCallion said: “We are very grateful to Morrisons. Our tap water is on a meter, so the water butts are helping us to save money as well as the environment.
“We’ve had a great time looking at the fruits and the children are looking forward to tasting them after our Harvest Festival.”
