FASHIONISTAS flocked to York’s newest store to snap up designer-wear bargains – and a £10 gift voucher to spend inside.
TK Maxx Woman was giving away £10 vouchers to the first 500 people to visit its latest outlet in Coney Street.
Housed in the former Boots store, it sells designer and high street fashions at discounts of up to 60 per cent, and brings 50 new jobs to the city.
TK Maxx already has a large outlet selling fashions and homewares at Monks Cross, York.
However, TK Maxx Woman will sell womenswear and accessories exclusively. It will also host the Gold Label department, selling couture and top designer brands. Gold Label is only available in 22 stores in the UK.
The company was launched in the UK in 1994 and now has more than 200 stores nationwide.

I hope there's a comfy chair in there for me to sit on while I wait for Mrs Turnoff. Yawn!
.
BTW. Isn't 1st September regarded as the first day of Christmas by shops these days?
