The injured cyclist is stretchered by paramedics to an ambulance
A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Piccadilly and Tower Street, in York.
The incident happened yesterday at about 2.30pm outside The Postern Gate pub, and resulted in one lane of the road being blocked to traffic as police and paramedics attended the scene of the accident.
The male cyclist is believed to have suffered leg injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The incident led to minor traffic tailbacks in the Tower Street area.
