Caravan set alight in Wenham Road, Acomb

A CARAVAN was destroyed by fire after it was set alight by arsonists.

Two fire crews spent an hour and a half tackling the blaze, which broke out at 2.11pm yesterday.

The caravan was parked outside a property in Wenham Road, Acomb.

The fire cased slight heat damage to the outside fixtures to the house.

A fire service spokeswoman said the fire was started deliberately.
