FANCY getting lost over the school summer holidays?

Then look no further than Easingwold Maize Maze, which opens tomorrow for six weeks.

The maze experience, created by farmer Paul Caygill, attracted local and national attention last year thanks to the antics of kune kune pig Ginger who, accidentally, consumed a diamond ring that had been on the finger of a visitor who was patting the animal.

Visitors to the six-acre maze are asked to solve tricky clues from around the world as they make their way to the castle at the heart of the maze.

This year the maze features a new addition to the animal family – rheas, ostrich, like birds from South America.

There is also an animal pen, featuring goats, pigs, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and ducklings.

Visitors to the ten-acre site just off the A19 can have a go on a giant inflatable slide, go-karts, swingball, football, volleyball, games, animals and Easingwold’s only beach.

Paul said: “This is the eighth year we have created the maize maze and there a more extra attractions than ever and an enlarged site.”

The maze is open until September 5.
