THERE are vacancies at a five-star hotel in York – but only very small guests with lots of legs need try to check in.
Haxby Road Primary School and BAM Construction have been working together to build an insect hotel in the school grounds in support of World Environment Day.
The theme is bio-diversity, and the project is part of an ongoing relationship between the school and BAM.
In addition to this, the children have learned about some of the aspects of working on a building site. The insect hotel also provides a lasting opportunity for the children to enjoy and learn more about the world around them.
