Dan Sidley (Election Postbag, April 14) sings the praises of Hugh Bayley and John Grogan. I think it is important to point out that there are huge differences between the two men.

Hugh Bayley has always followed the party line, always voted with the Government and has always been prepared to stand up in Parliament and ask nauseating planted questions.

John Grogan, on the other, hand has been independent-minded; he has disagreed with the Government, spoken his mind and voted against the Government.

The best illustration of these differences is their record on the disastrous Iraq war. Hugh Bayley voted in favour; John Grogan voted against.
