I’m taking an interest in the campaign for Selby and Ainsty and the activities of the various election candidates.
I noticed that the Lib Dem candidate, Tom Holvey, “tweeted” that on Easter Sunday he “visited Bubwith and Skipwith on Sunday... campaigning”. I’m a little bit puzzled as to why a candidate would firstly be campaigning on Easter Sunday, the most important day in the Church’s calendar, but also about the claim that he was campaigning in Bubwith. Bubwith is not in the Selby and Ainsty constituency, it is in the constituency next door. Either this is an example of the Lib Dems’ fantasy politics of the internet to create an impression of being a busy campaigner or Mr Holvey needs a guide to show him around the constituency he aspires to represent.
