York city centre will be alive with events connected with the 800th anniversary of the granting of the City Charter.

From giant puppets to flash choirs, from haunting songs on the riverbank to enlightening talks in our historic halls, York will be celebrating its own voice, and York’s young people will be presenting their new city charter.

Exhibitions across the city will celebrate our unique history and innovative ideas for our future.

The weekend will culminate with Ebor Vox on the Eye of York on Monday evening - a treat for the eyes and ears.

Bring your voice, bring a boat, bring your ideas but most of all bring yourself.
