Hamilton Panthers FC, located next to York Racecourse, will be hosting a special York 800 Youth Football Gala on 6 May.
Their annual Gala usually attracts 40 clubs and 1500 players and spectators, and hopes are high that this year’s York 800 event will be even bigger and better.
On the day, clubs take part in structured under-8 to under-12 friendlies and tournaments, while families, friends, spectators and the general public can enjoy a host of fun events.
Panthers are a community football club, run by volunteers, and the first FA Charter Standard junior club in York.
Over 3600 people have played for the club since it was founded in 1988, including children drawn from 28 schools.
